We are very happy to be welcoming Maryanne Barjel to the TVSN Family. We were lucky enough to interview her recently so you can get to know her a little bit more.
TVSN: We would love to hear a bit more about what path brought you to TVSN.
Maryanne: I started hosting live fashion shows and workshops in shopping centres all over Australia from about 19 years old! I was hired by Bose to guest their segments on TVSN around two years ago. I loved the team so much I wanted to be a part of it!
TVSN: We have loved seeing you on our Bose shows over the last few years. What excites you most about being a TVSN presenter?
Maryanne: There’s no time to think when you’re on air, I get to be exactly who I am in that moment and I get to share that with everyone at home. Working with amazing products and incredible humans is definitely a perk!
TVSN: Where would we find you when you’re not at TVSN?
Maryanne: Planning events, at the beach in the summer, trying a new café or restaurant or with my nieces and nephews playing dress-ups.
TVSN: What are your favourate things to do on the weekend?
Maryanne: Go on adventures with my boyfriend, hang out with mum, go to the beach, eat at new café’s/restaurants, visit the art gallery, have a picnic, wine tasting, anything outdoorsy – not so much in the winter, you’ll find me under a doona with a great book and cup of tea (or wine!).
TVSN: Who was the most influential person to you as a child?
Maryanne: My mum was always the epitome of a good human, she taught me love, kindness, compassion and respect. A lot of credit is due to my English teacher Mrs Pollard, she helped me fall in love with learning, with language, how to be original as an individual and to never fear being myself.
TVSN: Your favourite place in the world?
Maryanne: No matter how old I get, it will always be inside one of mum’s hugs, but physical places – anywhere by the water, theme parks and my bed!
